Black Friday of Cycling!!

I think the tour should kick'em all out and start fresh with a bunch of first-timer average dudes. People who may have a recreational alcohol habits, full time jobs, families that they are true too, it would be the best reality show yet. We could all watch as they suffered through it CLEAN.

Tour De France...

Two days till the start of the '06 Tour. It should be pretty exciting without the Texan domination. I think that another Yankee has the goods to bring home the yellow jersey. Floyd Landis is going into the tour under the shadows of the German and the Italian, but I think that good old American Stubbornness will triumph.

Team Merrell Wigwam is currently leading Primal Quest Utah. The team is lead by Robyn Benincasa, who is one bad-ass super chick. Robyn and her team helped design the Merrell Overdrive, which has been retailing very strong since it's introduction this season.

Beat Down of the week. #1

I was up at the Fibark Whitewater festival in Salida last week. Lots of beer, fried cheese on a stick and a little boating. We watched some of the events, the raft rodeo was great and the Boater Cross was spectacular. Check out the link below. This is a female paddler showing us all what it means to keep with it, and stay in the boat. The video does not do that hole justice, it was freaking huge.

Getting hitched!

Well I dropped the big question last week. Kat is her name for those of you that have not met her yet. We took a little Harley Ride in the mountains, I stopped on the side of the road, and proceeded to fumble around with first the Camera(Proper documentation is Key), the ring, and then of course my emotions. I am not really sure if the question even came out! Well anyhow, here are some of the photos that I took right then.

Cazador is the Champ!

Cazador made his competitive debute yesterday at the Lyons White water festival. He won the best trick competition, and the retrieving comp. In a post event news conference he said "No big deal, I came prepared and took home the goods!" Thanks to Ruff Wear for the great prizes.



On another note. A tuber drowned in boulder creek yesterday, no need to bash the dead, but these guys were acting like idiots. They were running a Class IV+ Rapid in Inner tubes with nothing more than a wet t-shirt for floatation. I always hate to see river carnage.

For more reasons than not, I need to keep the poker face on this weekend here in WA. It worked out last night, as I took home the 2nd place pot in the SWH Poker night. An extra thirty bones to spend in the airport bar this evening.

This moring I have been laying in the hotel watching the World Cup, England vs ParaGUAY. How can I not root for my south american family!!

New days

Smartwool no more!

So here is the story. We found out last friday that we are no longer the Smartwool sales reps for the Rocky mountain region. Timberland, the shoe giant that bought Smartwool last December decided that the Timberland Reps in the area should be the Smartwool reps as well. There is a lot to the story here, but I can tell you one thing for sure, our numbers for this year were up in huge ways, so there was nothing wrong with our performance. We only started with Smartwool last year, and embraced the line as a child from day one. It was a sad day when we heard the news.
