Motivation!

This will forever be one of the most motivating photos ever. For those of you who have not been following the Tour, today Floyd Landis pulled off one of the greatest sports come-backs ever. He rode out of pure anger, pride, and determination.

P-LOW in the house!

I had to post some pics of the boys getting-r-Done on the circuit. I wanted to post one of Burke doing it up at Cascade, but no photo to steal.

This is Colorado?

The guys over at The Range Life just posted some sick photos of some CO boating. Not that I will be dropping this thing anytime soon, but I didnt even know this stuff existed in our state!

Is your head in the sand?

Recently I have been reminded that many people are just plain selfish. Especially athletes, they will do anything, sacrifice everything, blow-off old friends, cheat, dope, and lie, all for sport. Great examples these past few weeks, the world Cup head Butt, and the Tour de France dopers.

People often ask me if I miss cycling, and my first response is always, "I miss the travel, and all the friends I met along the way." After I quit racing it took a while before I realized what I really got out of the sport. When racing you have to be so self consumed, at least that’s what you think at the time, to get the results. But come on, who really remembers who won "such and such race" back in 2000? Except for Lance of course! He made enough money that it was worth, cheated, ruining a family, risking a life and damaging friendships. Does Lance have any Pals besides George left in the Peloton?

Where am I going with all this ranting? I am not sure. But for everyone out there, take your head out of the sand, look around, take a deep breath, take advantage of every new places you go, (the soft mattress at the Marriott does not count), and keep in touch with your friends. You will remember all this way better than any single competition or work moment.

No laptop = No blogging!

Last week I was doing a little surfing around on the Apple site, and I found out that my computer had been recalled. The screen had some light spots on it, I figured I had let it get burned in from leaving it on. Anyhow I sent it back to be fixed. I felt totally out of it this week with out my laptop, I even had to look up some phone numbers in the yellow pages.
